Alison Hunter

Alison has worked in public policy consulting for more than 20 years. Originally from Scotland, she is also Belgian and has worked in Brussels since 2007, providing research, analysis and event moderation services support to a wide range of clients predominantly in the areas of Economic Development, EU Cohesion / Regional Policy, Research & Innovation and Industrial Policy. She works with the EU institutions, regions, member states and macro-regions across these policy fields. As well as being an EFIS Board Member, Alison is a Senior Adviser with the Brussels think-tank, the European Policy Centre. Alison originally trained as a teacher in Scotland, before specialising in market research methods during her MA degree in Marketing.

Specialising in qualitative research methods, she combines sharp analytical skills with a highly personalised approach and enjoys working in and with diverse teams. She is especially keen to explore and champion innovation policies and practices that are ‘place-based’ and foster collaboration.
