Research projects
We lead and participate in European applied research projects that address topics of relevance to R&I policy development. These projects contribute to the analytical base for new insights and approaches to many of our activities. We apply a wide range of qualitative and quantitative methodologies and integrate digital tools to improve the value of our insights for target audiences.

Advisory services
We work on specific commissioned assignments performing policy research, impact evaluations, programme reviews and stakeholder consultations, among other key activities. We offer individual experts and/or project-based teams tailored to specific client needs.

Training
We design, organise and implement capacity building exercises on-demand in various fields such as socio-economic impact assessment, policy innovation, smart specialisation strategies, etc. Our trainings include not only sharing our thematic knowledge but also our in-house expertise on the application of virtual (MURAL, FIBRES, MIRO, etc.) and physical participatory techniques for improved stakeholder engagement and co-creation.

Guest lectures and invited talks
We are actively involved in high-profile national, European and international conferences, symposiums, congresses; invited to present our perspective on diverse fields of expertise. Our experts also regularly lecture at university and post-graduate level on topics such as innovation policies, circular economy, smart strategies, regional development, etc.

Management of expert panels
We have in-house expertise in the organisation, setting up and management of expert panels and peer-review processes in research assessment exercises. We possess in-depth experience in the selection and assembling of expert panels providing high-level policy advice on reforms in national R&I systems. Our expert panels comply with EU best practices (i.e., transparent, objective, independent, top quality).

Coordination of large R&I funds
We coordinate large research and innovation funds using, for example, cascade formats to promote the spirit of innovation within a larger ecosystem of researchers and innovators. We have led the NGI Trust project which dispersed €5.6m in funding to third-party projects focused on human-centric internet solutions.
