EFIS participates in the project on improvement of the main measurement and benchmarking tools for innovation performance of the EU – European Innovation Scoreboard (EIS) and the Regional Innovation Scoreboard (RIS). EFIS is focused on the development of the Scoreboards’ methodological framework. Our role is to develop recommendations on how to better contextualise differences in national and regional performance and operational guidance on how to appraise linkages between policy developments and innovation performance.
The project was commissioned by the European Commission’s DG Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs, and is done in cooperation with MERIT (Maastricht University, the Netherlands), Deloitte (Belgium), Nesta (United Kingdom), and Sociedade Portuguesa de Inovação (SPI, Portugal).
